Repairs, Restoration

As we make items by hand we are able to reproduce damaged pieces eg handles, re-cover items in leather etc to what ever design is needed & colour match as closely as possible

Replacement handles for an old trunk

Above is Peter's trunk that he was restoring. The first picture is of the handle brackets & the sad remains of the original handles.

We made new ones from detailed drawings that Peter sent us. To reproduce the original handles they are made of a 3 layers of veg-tanned leather hand sewn together & dyed to the colour that Peter requested.

The finished trunk looks rather smart!

Trafalgar chair

Before showing the old leather & after - the recovered chair, using new leather but the original tacks & leather covered nails
